The Tennessee Highway Patrol has charged a Cookeville woman with vehicular homicide following a Monday morning crash.
Authorities said 29-year-old Nicole Wright is also charged with driving under the influence and three counts of felony reckless endangerment following the crash that killed 26-year-old Mason Taft of Cookeville.
Authorities said Wright was traveling on a private access road off Dodson Branch Road when her 2004 Honda Accord traveled off the left side of the road and rolled over.
A report stated that Taft’s body was partially ejected and crushed by the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other passengers inside the car were not injured and received citations for public intoxication.
