Cookeville-Putnam Chamber Hosts Summer Better Business Seminar Series

Registrations are live for the Better Business Seminar Series hosted by the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce.

Membership Director Karlyn Reel said that while the chamber hosts education series throughout the year, they wanted to do something that kept people engaged over the summer.

“And if you’re a chamber member it’s $10 and if you’re not a chamber member it’s $15,” Reel said. “So it really is a bargain. These (speakers) are experts in their fields, so it’s an opportunity to have some continued education for your business and for your employees.”

Reel said that the series will cover marketing and social media, accounting, and diversity and inclusion. She said that the goal of the series is to help business owners create a more well-rounded workspace.

Reel said that the series is suitable for new business owners and long-established business owners. She said that no matter the size of the company, there is something in the series that everyone can learn from.

“Oftentimes we were directly with the CEOs, or Directors of Human Resources, or things like that,” Reel said. “But a lot of these sessions could be great opportunities for some staff who maybe have different roles. So maybe you’re not the director but you’re a coordinator and you want someone to get some good education and good experience. It’s a great opportunity to send your employees to get that continued education.”

Reel said that those interested in participating in the series can register on the chamber’s website or by calling the chamber at (931) 526-2211
