Cookeville Police Ask For Tips In Bob’s Body Shop Burglary

Cookeville Police are seeking any information on car parts and electronics stolen from Bob’s Body Shop over the last few weeks.

The timeline of when the goods were stolen remains a question mark. Public Information Officer Lieutenant Anthony Leonard said the items were discovered to be missing this week but it is believed they were taken some time in the last three or four weeks.

“I don’t have a specific dollar amount, but I know there were some tires taken and some other very unique car parts that we hope we can use the uniqueness to try and locate them,” Leonard said.

Leonard said the department cannot release further details at this time. Leonard said if you have any information to reach out to the Cookeville Police Department.

“The best thing to do would be to contact our criminal investigation division,” Leonard said. “This particular incident is being investigated by Detective Justin Long, so if they just call the Cookeville Police department and ask to speak with Detective Long. They can provide any information they might have.”

“This is an active investigation,” Leonard said. “We want to make sure we keep our evidence protected so we can properly investigate and prosecute.”
