Cookeville Police Department asking for assistance in the search for a missing Crossville man.
Nelson Matt Smith was last seen near 1331 South Jefferson Avenue on November 24th. PIO Lieutenant Anthony Leonard said his family reached out for aid in finding him.
“Mr. Smith doesn’t really have any ties to Cookeville however we understand he may have stayed at least one night at the local mission,” Leonard said. “We think that Mr. Smith may be traveling west to try and locate some other family. However, we wanted to try to help his family locate him and we thought that posting it on Facebook might be a solution.”
Smith is 5’9″ and 147 pounds. Leonard said at this time he does not believe Smith is a danger to himself or others.
