A Cookeville man has died as the result of a Wednesday night motorcycle accident.
33-year-old Landon Rice was traveling on Hawkins Crawford Road around 9 p.m. when his 2009 Kawasaki Motorcycle left the left side of the roadway striking a tree.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, the vehicle broke into two pieces coming to its final uncontrolled rest in a field off the left side of the roadway and in the roadway.
