A Cookeville man died Saturday night in a one-vehicle wreak on Highway 111.
22-year-old Lance Jackson died when his car ran off the left side of the roadway and crossed the median. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Jackson tried to over-correct and the vehicle ran off the highway, down an embankment, and struck a tree.
Jackson died on the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to THP.
The accident happened near the Buck Mountain Road overpass just before 6:30pm Saturday night.
