Cookeville Man Charged With Bringing Meth Inside Jail

A Cookeville man faces charges for allegedly bringing more than 11-grams of meth inside the jail.

Officers found the drug Sunday evening while booking Peyton Allard Walker into the Putnam County jail for credit card fraud.

An arrest warrant said the 22-year-old Walker had 11.6 grams of methamphetamine hidden in his crotch area. Officers also discovered Xanax and Subutex during a strip search.

Walker remains behind bars with no bond amount listed at this time.
