Cookeville Man Charged With Aggravated Sexual Battery

A Cookeville man faces charges for aggravated sexual battery against a eight-year-old female.

Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 22-year-old Esteban Saine at Cookeville Regional Medical Center on Tuesday. An arrest report said the incident happened six months ago at the home of the victim’s grandmother.

The report accuses Saine of placing his genitals on the victim’s feet while she was on a couch. The defendant left the room after the victim placed a pillow over her face and began to cry.

During an interview with authorities, Saine allegedly admitted that the incident occurred and the actions described by the victim did take place.

Saine has a $500,000 bond and an initial court date scheduled for October 14.
