Cookeville Man Charged Following Highway 111 Crash

A Cookeville man faces charges following a three vehicle crash in Algood Thursday.

The accident happened on Highway 111 at Quinland Lake Road.

A Tennessee Highway Patrol crash report said the collision occurred when 35-year-old Mateo Tomas Domingo attempted to turn left onto Quinland Lake Road. Officials said Domingo’s 2009 Nissan Rogue pulled into the path of a tractor trailer traveling southbound on Highway 111.

The report said the initial impact caused Domingo’s vehicle to spin and strike a minivan that was also heading South.

State Troopers charged Domingo with failure to yield and driving without a license. The report said no injuries occurred during the accident.
