Cookeville Man Arrested For Allegedly Striking Pregnant Girlfriend

Local authorities have arrested a Cookeville man for allegedly striking his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach.

Cookeville Police said the incident happened Friday at a home on Lane Avenue in Cookeville.

36-year-old Jerry Daniel Blackmon charged with domestic assault against the victim and unborn child.

Police reported that Blackmon also allegedly strangled the victim and struck her in the head with a door.

Blackmon has posted a $25,000 bond and will appear in court on April 30th.
