Fitness classes at the Cane Creek Recreation Center have restarted without issues.
Leisure Services Special Programs Director Jen Webb said the process has run smoothly so far.
“We have some people who are wanting to wait it out just a little bit longer, which we completely understand and respect,” Webb said. “You have some who are really ready to get back. The nine participants per class has been a good number, we’ve been able to accommodate almost everyone who wanted to attend.”
Almost all classes have returned, including yoga, strength training, and club cardio. Webb said three different time slots are available per day to allow ample sanitizing time for the equipment. Classes currently take place at 8:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 5:30 p.m.
“We’re going to take things two weeks at a time,” Webb said. “We’ll stick to those three class times that we have. Every couple of weeks we’ll make adjustments and go by what the recommendations are by our local health department and CDC.”
Webb said the number allowed per class could increase next week, depending on health recommendations.
