Cookeville City Manager Mike Davidson received a 3-percent salary increase during Thursday night’s city council meeting.
The council unanimously approved the raise after Davidson received a near perfect evaluation score. It was his first evaluation since accepting the position two years ago. Following the vote Davidson thanked the council and his staff for their support.
“There is no way in the world that I could even think about doing this job if it wasn’t for the staff,” Davidson said. “It is just a pleasure to work with everyone here in the city of Cookeville and I’m thankful you are allowing me to stick around for a little while longer.”
Davidson received a 4.64 evaluation score out of a 5.0 scale across six categories.
The 3-percent salary increase will take his annual salary from $135,000 to $139,050.
