A concrete mixing company has opened its new Cookeville facility on Tennessee Avenue.
Danial Bugbee is the President of Garrott Brothers Ready Mix-Concrete. Bugbee said the facility brings about 15 new jobs to the area.
“I think the spot on Tennessee Avenue is just a great logistic spot to get around the city and the growth that has happened,” Bugbee said. “Being able to access I-40 for our raw materials and move our trucks around. It’s also a good location for all the utilities as well.”
Bugbee said the mixing plant facility will supply concrete to contractors or home builders. Bugbee said the location is an upgrade from the Scott Avenue plant and will provide a higher volume of concrete.
The plant sits on a some seven acre lot on the corner of Bob Gentry Road and Tennessee Avenue. The Gallatin based company has several locations across the state with over 150 employees.
