The Fentress County Commission will conduct interviews tonight for a permanent sheriff.
Former sheriff Chucky Cravens resigned earlier this year after pleading guilty to federal charges. Gary Ledbetter has served as interim sheriff since Craven’s departure.
Tonight five candidates will be interviewed. They include Ledbetter, James Conatser, Rodney Insco, Michael Reagan, and Tommy Rosecrants.
The work session starts tonight at 6 pm at the Fentress County Courthouse. The public is invited to attend to watch the interview process but will not be able to comment during the meeting.
