After being closed for 16-months, Smithville’s College Street Bridge officially reopened Thursday.
The bridge closed in June of 2016 after a landfill truck struck the bridge and caused major damage. During that time two other vehicles also struck the bridge, once in July by a freight liner hauling cars and again in August by a truck pulling a flatbed trailer.
The repair project totaled $222,894.
