The search for a new Clay County Chamber of Commerce director will start this Thursday.
Kevin Donaldson will depart from the chamber to work with the Tennessee College of Applied Technology. Clay County Mayor Dale Reagan said Donaldson will still have an important role in the county under his new job.
“I know he will be working with the local high school,” Reagan said. “He is certainly going to be still very much involved in a lot our committees. Our workforce development committee. He has been instrumental in helping get those established.”
Reagan said the chamber board will discuss appointing a interim director in a special called meeting Wednesday. Donaldson served as director for three years.
“I want to say a great big thank you to Kevin,” Reagan said. “He has done an outstanding job for us here in the county and the city.”
The Celina-Clay County Economic and Community Development Board will hold the meeting at 9 a.m. The meeting will be at the chamber and the public is invited to attend.
