Middle Tennessee Natural Gas Utility District will be the new natural gas provider for Clay County residents.
The Clay Gas Utility District and Middle Tennessee Natural Gas Utility District will merge on September 1st. As a part of the merger, the gas company will also realign service areas in Sparta and Crossville to better serve customers.
“MTNG is excited about the opportunity to meet natural gas energy needs, provide unrivaled service to the citizens of Clay County, and be part of the community for many years to come,” CEO Mike Davidson said in a release.
Middle Tennessee Natural Gas serves 23 counties including McMinnville and Smithville. It was created in 1955 pursuant to the 1937 Utility District Act.
