City Of Celina Will Have A New Facebook Page

The City of Celina will launch a new Facebook page.

Mayor Tonya Spears said website updates are also part of the policy resolution.

“Well it’s day to day work, and it was something that I thought we needed to do to catch up,” Spears said. “A lot of other cities are using that, and I think it’s a good tool for communication.”

Spears said some website changes include utility payments online. She said a parks and recreation page will be made after updates to Donelson Park are complete.

“As far as a Facebook page, that’s an immediate notification that we could use, like if we have water problems at a certain of town, we can put that out there and it’ll be immediate,” Spears said. “It’ll maybe cut down on some of the cost coming in, wondering why they have low pressure, et cetera.”
