A 33-year-old woman suffered injuries Tuesday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash in Cumberland County.
Rebecca Pierce of Charlotte, NC was transported to UT Medical Center in Knoxville with undisclosed injuries. Her condition is unknown.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Pierce and 27-year-old Rachel Miller of Charlotte, NC were traveling eastbound on I-40 near mile-marker 308.
Miller – the driver – over corrected the Ford F-250 when the truck ran off the left shoulder of the interstate.
A 5-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy were also in the truck at the time of the accident. All parties were wearing safety restraints at the time of the accident.
