The Putnam County Planning Commission delayed a vote on a 12-lot subdivision off Double Springs Road Tuesday night.
The West Fork Estates development includes 15.7 acres at Double Springs and Charlie Maxwell Road. Commission members were concerned about the condition of Charlie Maxwell Road and its ability to safely carry traffic from the development.
Planning Commission Member Dale Moss urged other commissioners to drive the stretch before approving the plan.
Developer Anthony Leonard said the delay would affect his ability to move forward with the development. Leonard said he, too, worried about safety and wanted to make sure the area would be safe.
