The White County Central View School Property Subcommittee resulted in five options for the future of the vacant building.
Chair Bob Young said establishing another school, a resident operated community center, recreation options, leasing and demolition were discussed Thursday.
“We’ve heard the fact that the community would like a school there,” Young said. “We have to be real about that possibility. We probably need a plan B and C.”
Young said a school in the community would solely be based on the economics and number of students in the area. Young said he would make a committee report over the options at a future school board meeting.
Subcommittee Member Jeff Wright attended the meeting and represented the Central View community.
