Celina Receiving New Website For Online Bill Pay

The City of Celina will soon have a new website allowing for online bill pay.

Mayor Tonya Spears said the website will provide added convenience to city residents.

“We haven’t had the capability of taking online payments an debit payments up to this point so we’re excited about that,” Spears said. “It’ll also have department info on there. It’ll have our aldermen on there and their contact numbers, and it should be something that we can all be proud of.”

The website will come at no cost to the city via the Tennessee Municipal League (TML). Spears said TML helped align the city with a Kentucky-based firm to develop the website.

“They offer a free website to one city in each state, and they had an available free website for Tennessee,” Spears said, “so we were lucky enough that we had that offered to us free of charge.”

Spears said the website will also include information for each department plus contact info for Celina’s board of aldermen. A timeline has not been set at this time as to when the website will launch.

The City of Celina currently shares a website with the Clay County Chamber of Commerce and county government offices at dalehollowlake.org.
