Celina Preparing For Trick or Treat

Halloween may be more than a month away, but businesses in Celina have the spirit.

Celina Merchants Association President Kathy Merrett said it takes a lot of planning and a lot of candy to pull off Trick or Treat Celina.

“Our merchants all close up at 5 and set up, we dress up, we decorate the fronts of our stores, the streets are closed and basically it’s an absolutely free event,” Merrett said.

Trick or Treat Celina has its own Facebook page with information on the event. At this time, more than 40 organizations are on board, with storytelling and music available as well.
