Case Against Cookeville Officer Sent To Grand Jury

A Cookeville Police Officer appeared in court Tuesday on charges accusing him of assaulting his wife last year.

A White County judge has ordered a grand jury to review domestic and aggravated assault charges against officer Kyle Farley.

White County deputies arrested the 29-year-old earlier this year after he allegedly used his city-issued stun gun against his wife during an argument. The incident happened December 21 at the couples’ home.

The Cookeville Police Department placed Farley on administrative leave immediately following his arrest.

If the grand jury issues indictments against Farley, his next court date will be May 13th in criminal court.
