An upset in House District 41, representing Anderson, Fentress, Morgan, Overton and Roane Counties.
Unofficial results indicate Republican Candidate Ed Butler has defeated Independent Incumbent John Mark Windle by just 1,000 votes. Butler said he believes the difference was that his team worked hard towards this goal.
“To improve District 41 and make it better for my children and for the other children in District 41,” Butler said.
Butler said while this may be a big change for some constituents, he hopes that even those who didn’t vote for him will give him a chance and allow him the opportunity to serve them.
