Bruins goalie says team could use a 'couple of beers' before games

The Boston Bruins are in the middle of a three game losing streak that’s frustrating players and fans alike.

After Sunday’s 2-1 shootout loss to Carolina, an exasperated Tuukka Rask joked to CSNNE that some pre-game drinking could be the answer to the team’s erratic play.

“Yeah, maybe mix in a couple of beers before the games. That would make us relax. That might be the final option. We don’t see a play and don’t make it, then we try to force a play and it’s a turnover where we spend a minute in our own end. That’s how it is. It’s mental…it’s mental. It’s not like the skill is gone.”

The Bruins game has gotten so mediocre that even their own play-by-play announcer Jack Edwards seems to have turned on the team.

If this is a movie, the GM walks into the room and tells 3 guys they’ve been traded. But it’s reality:Have to find a spark. LEADERSHIP, boys

One of my friends tells her kids (when they’re having a bad day), “You always can start the day over.” Bs better hurry with that.

Awful. Just a bad, bad game from a team that needed to be desperate and intense but just didn’t bring it. Now 1-6 in 2nd of back to backs.

The Bruins will have a couple of days to collect themselves before facing the Penguins on Wednesday.
