Bond Set At $1 Million For Murder Suspect

A judge has set a $1 million bond for a Cookeville man who allegedly shot and killed a White County woman last year.

Authorities have charged 57-year-old Bobby Dale Haney with first degree murder in the death of 41-year-old Donna Roam. Roam’s body was discovered December 19th off Browntown Road in Western Cumberland County.

Authorities believe Haney shot Roam in the head in Gainesboro and later dumped her body in Cumberland County.

After finding Roam’s body investigators worked round the clock to identify a suspect. Information eventually led them to Jackson County where they arrested Haney during a traffic stop.
