Putnam County authorities have released the identity of a man found deceased in a vehicle at the Cookeville Walmart this week.
A preliminary report from the Medical Examiner’s Office said that 47-year-old Philippe Ceverain of Haiti appeared to have died from health-related issues.
Officials at the Putnam County Sheriff’s office said Ceverain was in the country for an extended period of time on a work-related visa. A co-worker had reported him missing after he failed to show up for work for several days.
A sheriff’s office press release said Ceverain was homeless and is believed to have been living out of his vehicle.
