Jackson County Board of Education members meet tonight to interview the lone applicant for the Director of Schools position.
“Mr. Barlow had been there for right at 15-years. He did a great job.” Brown said. “We’re looking for somebody to lead our county, our school system, and our kids. Somebody to come up with all the programs and guidelines to keep us appropriate with the state and federal level and of course to learn our kids and be a good leader and influence to all.
Brown said it’s also important that the person can manage the budget.
With only one applicant for the position, Brown said there could be a possibility that the board decides to open the application period back up.
“Anything is possible, it’s whatever the board chooses to do,” He said.
Tonight’s meeting set for 6:00 at Central Office.
