Blood Assurance In Critical Need Of Blood Supplies

An above average usage of blood and lots of sickness going around has resulted in a critical need for blood at Blood Assurance.

Officials said they are down to a one-day supply on almost all blood types at the current time and have had multiple large blood drives cancel within the last five days, which equates to a loss of 250-plus potential donations.

This has left Blood Assurance in a critically low situation and in need of support to supply our area hospitals.

Upper Cumberland residents can donate blood at Cookeville’s Blood Assurance location on West Broad Street.
