Blackhawk Makes Emergency Landing In Livingston

An Army Blackhawk helicopter made an emergency landing at Livingston Municipal Airport Wednesday morning after experiencing smoke in the cockpit.

Overton County Fire Chief Rocky Dial said a windshield wiper malfunctioned, forcing the landing. Two mechanics aboard the chopper were able to service the craft.

Dial said the crew determined the helicopter had no other issues. After refueling, Dial said the helicopter left for Nebraska.

No injuries reported in the incident that occurred just after 11am. The chopper spent about 30 minutes on the ground.
