Ben Herron Resigns As Upperman Head Football Coach

Ben Herron has resigned as head football coach of Upperman High School.

Herron has coached the Upperman football program for the past seven seasons, guiding the Bees to the State Semi Finals in 2013 and a perfect 10-0 regular season record.

For the past five seasons Herron helped the Bees advance to the state playoffs. He leaves the head coach position of his alma mater with the most wins in school history, posting a record of 48-26.

Upperman administrators said they will open a coaching search to fill the head coaching position.

“Our goal is to hire a head coach that will continue the student-athletes development of the 4 pillars Truth, Honor, Loyalty and Service,” Upperman Athletic Director and Assistant Principal Greg Wilson said.
