Bean To Be Arraigned Tuesday

An arraignment will take place Tuesday for an Overton County man charged in a November 19th officer-involved shooting in Warren County.

Authorities have charged 66-year-old Charles Ray Bean with two counts of criminal attempt to commit homicide and two counts of aggravated assault.

Officials said Bean opened fire on Warren County deputies when a pursuit ended on C. Rody Road near Highway 70. He suffered gunshot wounds during the shooting and received treatment at Chattanooga’s Erlanger Hospital.

Bean left the hospital on Friday and remains jailed under $1 million bond.
