A judge has set a December 11th court date for an Overton County man charged in last week’s officer-involved shooting in Warren County.
66-year-old Charles Ray Bean appeared in court Tuesday and informed the judge that he obtained the services of Cookeville attorney Brett Knight.
Authorities have charged Bean with two counts of attempted criminal homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, and evading arrest.
The incident happened Monday, November 19th when Bean allegedly set fire to his own barn and garage in Overton County and threatened to kill a family member in Warren County.
Bean allegedly fired on Warren County deputies after a pursuit ended near highway 70.
Bean remains behind bars on $1 million bond.
