The Baxter Planning Commission approved a preliminary plat for a new subdivision at the corner of Highway 56 and Highway 70.
A total of 88 lots are included in the 36.7 acres. Baxter Planning Director Tommy Lee said the lots would range in size from 0.19 acres to 10.09 acres. Three streets will be built as part of the new development.
“I have reviewed everything and I did not see anything that went against our zoning ordinance or subdivision regulations,” Lee said. “Before final approval is given, all proposed infrastructure must be installed.”
Lee said it will take one additional reading of the plat before lots can be sold.
The subdivision, being developed by Titan Development LLC, contains ADA-compliant sidewalks and fire hydrants.
The commission also approved a preliminary site plan for a development at the corner of Highway 56 and Buffalo Valley Road. A final site plan should be complete within 30-60 days.
