Authorities arrested a Baxter man Tuesday for threatening two people with a handgun.

63-year-old Dural Clark faces two counts of aggravated assault following the incident along Ditty Road.

Arrest warrants state Clark and a male victim had gotten into an argument the night before. The victim, who lives at the same residence as Clark, noticed Clark load a handgun.

The report indicates Clark and the victim got into another argument early Tuesday in which Clark threatened both the male victim and the victim’s mother. According to the arrest warrant, Clark told the victim that he would “meet his maker” and “end up in a (expletive) hole”.

Both the victim and his mother feared bodily injury and locked themselves in a room until authorities arrived on scene.

A Putnam County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the residence and recovered a handgun from Clark’s vehicle. Clark was arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail.

Clark currently remains behind bars on $10,000 bond with a court date scheduled for July 8.
