The Baxter Harvest Festival is still seeking vendors for the event’s return on September 25.
Festival Committee Member Jeanie Lee said it is exciting to be back after COVID cancelled things last year. Lee said it is an important year to return and hopes there are vendors who can highlight what makes Baxter special.
“It’s Baxter’s birthday, it’s our university Tennessee Tech’s birthday and it’s Tennessee,” Lee said. “So we’re highlighting Tennessee and we’re known for our southern cooking, great crafts and in our area especially, the mountains and the lakes.”
Lee said it is always important to have enough vendors where they can offer something for everyone. She said hopefully, vendors will reach out with offerings that fit the theme.
“We’re always known for our mountains and our lakes, great fishing and caving,” Lee said. “There’s so many things and we’re hoping that some of our vendors will showcase some of these great events that you can do in our state and do it as a family.”
Lee said there are a number of different ways to get a vendor application. She said they are available at Baxter City Hall but prospective vendors can get in touch with a few different people to get the ball rolling.
Lee said to call Sharon Watts at 260-8667 or Connie Gentry at 858-3078. She said application information is also available on the Friends of The Baxter Depot Facebook page.
Lee said the form is on the Friends of The Baxter Depot Facebook page, the form includes mailing addresses for submissions. The Baxter Harvest Festival is set to kick off from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on September 25.
