Baxter Adds New Conference Room, Mayor’s Office To City Hall

The City of Baxter has added on to city hall with the completion of its new conference room and mayor’s office.

Mayor John Martin highlighted the additions during Tuesday’s city council meeting.

Martin said the new space gives city officials a larger, more-professional environment to conduct business.

“We’ve got a building we can be proud of and it means a lot to all of us,” Martin said. “When people come in and want to talk about business, you can be proud that you’re talking with them in an atmosphere that’s really nice.”

Employees from the the city water and street department assisted in preparing the rooms with the only expense being the cost of materials.
