Even if the Tennessee Titans salute the flag, Sen. Paul Bailey said he’ll take the rest of the football season off.
“I have made a commitment that I will not return to Nissan Stadium until next season, which my hope is by then the Titans will have come to their senses,” Bailey said.
Tuesday, Bailey announced he was giving up his five 50-yard-line season tickets because the Titans stayed in the locker room Sunday.
Bailey said he would donate an amount equal to the cost of the seats to two organizations: C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors) and the Upper Cumberland Honor Guard.
Bailey said the tickets were a personal purchase, unrelated to his position as senator. His decision to not attend games this season was a personal one, Bailey said.
