Cookeville Man Arrested For Allegedly Striking Pregnant Girlfriend

Local authorities have arrested a Cookeville man for allegedly striking his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach. Cookeville Police said the incident happened Friday at a home on Lane Avenue in Cookeville. 36-year-old Jerry Daniel Blackmon charged with domestic assault against the victim and unborn child. A fire destroyed a home in Monterey Saturday night and left a family of seven homeless.
