Cookeville Postpones Decision On RVs In Mobile Home Parks

Cookeville City Council began preparations for winter last night, purchasing 500 tons of road salt. Public Works Director Blake Mayo said the city is currently two-thirds full on salt. Cookeville Leisure Services Reopens Skate Park; Police Receive Leads

Community members have provided leads to Cookeville Police on the vandalism that shut down the Park View Skate Park, leading the city to reopen the park Wednesday. Bathrooms will remain closed. Lyon Appointed By Crossville Council As City Judge

Crossville City Council appointed Tiffany Lyon to serve as Municipal Court Judge Tuesday night following three rounds of voting. Lyon replaces Ivy Gardner Mayberry who resigned effective September 30. The municipal judge serves a two-year term. Fry Named Newest Criminal Court Judge Serving 13th District

Shawn Fry has been appointed as the newest judge serving the 13th Judicial District Criminal Court. Governor Bill Lee made the appointment Thursday. The legislature granted the district an additional judgeship in May, 2023 to assist with workload. The 13th district covers Clay, Cumberland, Dekalb, Overton, Pickett, Putnam and White counties.
