Jackson County Commissioners approved a 10-year master plan for parks and recreation Monday night. Jackson County Signs 5-Year Solid Waste Contract With Smith County

Jackson County accepted a new solid waste contract Monday night after its agreement with the Moss landfill expired. Mayor Randy Heady said costs were going up $12 a ton and other offers were one-year contracts at over $40 dollars a ton. Fentress Waits To Allocate $642,000 To Highway Department

Fentress County voted to take no action Monday night on allocating all $642,000 of Governor Lee’s Infrastructure grant to the highway department.
