ATV Accident Leaves One Person Dead In Warren Co.

A Sunday morning ATV accident has claimed the life of a McMinnville man.

The accident happened on Ben Burton Road around 9 a.m. in the town of Morrison. The deceased is identified as 25-year-old Hazziel Velazquez.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Velazquez took a curve at excessive speeds and ran off the left side of Ben Burton Road, striking a tree.

Velazquez was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The accident marked the 11th traffic fatality in Warren County this year, which is six more fatalities than this time last year.
