Art Circle Public Library Celebrates Indie Author Day October 13

The Art Circle Public Library in Crossville will host Indie Author Day next Saturday, October 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Begun in 2016, Indie Author Day is a nationwide celebration of independent authors. This is the first time the Art Circle Library is participating in Indie Author Day. The purpose of the event is to bring local indie authors to the forefront, through education, writing, networking, readings and panel discussions.

Crossville is one of two locations in Tennessee participating in this nationwide event – and the only one in the listening area; the other is Jackson Madison County Library in Jackson.

More than 20 authors will be participating in the local event, with many of them doing readings from their books. Several classes on various aspects of writing will also be presented. Authors will also be on hand to sell and autograph their books.

Wayne Schoebel of the Art Circle Public Library, who has been helping to coordinate the event, told 94.1 News this morning there’s been great interest generated in Indie Author Day. “We’ve got a lot of local talent here – even one author coming in from the Nashville area,” he said.

The Indie Author Day event is free and open to the public. For information, contact the library at (931) 484-6790 or visit www.artcirclelibrary.info.
