American Job Center Drive In Job Fair Monday

If you are looking for employment, the American Job Center will hold a drive in job fair Monday

Fourteen companies are looking to hire at the Putnam County location on England Drive. Employment Representative Jimmy Simpson said people genuinely wanting to work will likely walk away with a new job.

“There is everything from manufacturing positions. There is distribution center positions. There is home health positions,” Simpson said. “There is social services type positions.”

Simpson said he estimates about 300 jobs will be available at the fair. Those interested will pull in the southern entrance of the center and take a left to check in. Simpson said candidates interested should research the companies, sharpen interview skills and bring multiple resumes.

“The best thing I can stress to them is resume preparation and interview preparation,” Simpson said. “We got several flyers out on social media with all the employers that are going to be represented. I would strongly recommend go to that employers website. Find out what positions they are hiring for. What their requirements are. Then come ready to share the job seeker’s passion.”

Academy, Schneider Trucking, Perdue, Home Instead, Randstad, Resource MFG, Malone Staffing, Aphena Pharma, QPD, TTI, Charter Spectrum, Pacesetters, Express Employment and Vocational Rehab will all be present. Simpson said candidates will receive a map on arrival of where each company is located.
