Alligator Found At Boils WMA

Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency officers found an alligator Saturday at the Boils WMA in Jackson County.

Officials said the 2-foot long gator was found inside a cooler. The TWRA said they believed someone had planned to dump the animal in the water but was interrupted by something or someone.

TWRA officials said the alligator would not have survived the cold water in the area.
