Algood officials appear to be ready to fill the two remaining vacant city council seats next week.
Tuesday’s city council agenda indicates that the city council will be filling both of those seats to bring the council to full capacity.
The council will also select one of the council members to serve as vice mayor.
The city has gone without a full council for nearly a year. It started with the resignation of Jennifer Green in February and it continued with the resignation of Richard heard and former Mayor Scott Bilbrey.
Tuesday’s meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. inside city hall and work session to interview potential council candidates will take place Monday at 6:00 p.m.
