Algood Police officers made two heroin arrests during separate incidents Friday.
The first incident occurred when authorities arrested Jonathon Clark and Derrick Griffin at Speedway. Officers observed Clark inside the store who appeared to be intoxicated.
Clark admitted to police he drove to the gas station on a revoked license. A search revealed heroin in Clark’s pocket, plus drug paraphernalia inside his vehicle.
Clark and Griffin, who was a passenger inside the vehicle, were both taken into custody for outstanding warrants in Dickson County. Clark was also charged for possession of heroin.
The second incident came at the Murphy’s station near Walmart, where police arrested Tammy Rogers for possession of heroin.
One of the officers who made the first arrest at Speedway found Rogers passed out in her vehicle. The officer woke Rogers up and noticed drug paraphernalia in plain view on the passenger seat.
The officer conducted a search of the vehicle, revealing found a brown substance suspected to be heroin and more paraphernalia in Rogers’s purse. Rogers was charged with public intoxication, simple possession, and drug paraphernalia charges.
