Federal agents and their contractors are conducting an inventory at the former Gentry Bros. Tractor Supply today.
Owners Jeff and Wendy Gentry shuttered the business over the Christmas holiday. Since then, they’ve been under federal investigation and subject to at least three civil lawsuits.
The suits allege the Gentrys ran a Ponzi-type scheme, collecting money from investors and purchasing land instead of investing it.
At an April hearing, federal officials said the Gentrys property had been seized. Some of the property had been sold and the U.S. Marshals service was holding the cash for victims.
