After Eight Days Of Searching, Still No Sign of Missing Man In Fentress Co.

There is still no sign of a missing man in Fentress County.

The search for 57-year-old Danny Ray Hall entered day eight today with crews focusing on an area around Glenobey Road, where a resident located a ball cap earlier this week.

EMA Director James Bilbrey said today that search crews located that cap along with a Twix candy bar wrapper and a bag of M&M’s.

“The girlfriend was on the scene with us and she said that was his and that he had some in his backpack,” Bilbrey said. “We put all that in a ziplock bag, brought it out, and had her identity that cap and she’s pretty sure that’s his cap.”

Hall went missing over a week ago after his girlfriend dropped him of to go ginseng hunting near Sam Beaty Road in the southwest portion of Fentress County.

Officials have suspended the search for the rest of the day and plan to meet this evening to determine when they will begin searching again.
